Between characters, complicated machinations can lead to shifting alliances, betrayals and more. On a personal level, there are the players' internal struggles with their vampiric nature. In addition to a web of pseudo-political agendas, both subtle and overt, amongst the Clans, which are collectively known as Kindred, other types of conflict combine to comprise a central aspect of the license. Overall, the thematic content is brooding and mature, with strong emphasis on both character and story. One wishes to co-exist with humans while hiding its existence, thus the titular reference to impersonation, while the other group's intentions are far less benign. They are divided into two main groups, each with its own agenda. Instead, there exists a rich mythos involving various bloodlines or Clans, each having different sets of powers. In this complex and fascinating campaign environment, they are not the stereotyped creatures familiar to B movie fans and readers of cheap fiction. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt takes place in Prague during a lockdown and sees different Clans of vampires fighting it out for supremacy. Players can purchase a battle pass during early access, which will help fun development and items will transfer over to the full game when it releases. Serves will be running 24 hours a day, seven days a week (aside from maintenance days like September 14th). The current goal is to be in early access for a few months with the title still slated to release later this year. The developer revealed during the recent Future Games Show that it was rebalancing characters and mechanics based on the recent alpha so this will be a good way to test those changes out.
